FAQ's

Thanks to all the dear pastors, wives and fellow Christians for your encouraging words regarding the messages online. It gives us confidence when we hear from you. We introduced a new page on the website with questions and answers. We found this to be very edifying and helpful for the individuals asking questions for their own progressive maturity and growth. We grew up in the early days to accept information without asking questions. This used to leave us undeveloped and vulnerable. We have so many ways of communication nowadays that anybody could get to their leaders at anytime to ask questions and queries with openness. We will also add more information in sequence in the future. We have a copyright to the questions and answers that there should be no partial quotation of any information on this page. We also refrain from disclosing personal information of the participant due to respect.

(1) Is Watching A Sermon On Tv Similar To Going To Church?

Salvation is a personal commitment. There is a big reason why television is not the same as being personally at church. At church you worship the Lord with the other born again believers and it’s practical. Church is a building for the gathering of the saints of God to strengthen and pray for one another. It’s the tangible presence of God that is real and substantial. When children of God get together and worship there is a corporate anointing that is experienced. Though Christianity is the individual’s relationship with the Father we still need one another. Giving your tithes and offering to the Lord in your local church is a type of an extension of your worship and obedience. When you are faced with challenges the whole church will be at your side to help and comfort you and the family. I watch television as well but, in my free times. You have to make this decision for your little children as well and persevere to go to church. Otherwise they will miss other ministries such as Sunday school, youth meetings etc.

It is factual reason that we are influenced and become like the people we connect and unite to. It is also a refining process where our Christian standards will be clear according to the Bible education and instruction. The individual’s strength and walk with God is founded by personal prayer, studying the Bible and fellowshipping with one another. Someone once said that, “it’s a chair with three legs that will hold firm as opposed to a chair with two or one leg. Why rely on less than a solid foundation and appropriate function.” Finally God’s word instructs us to gather together as found in (Heb. 10: 24-25 NKJV) “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.”

(2) Being Judged By Others And You Want To Quit

Judgments, criticisms and scandals almost all the time comes from your peer groups. This is an old game that plays on like “an old gramophone where the needle is stuck”. Always remember that you cannot change others and the way they speak and behave but “YOU” can change by maturing your responses to those that cause you ruin and failure. What would have happened if all the prophets, apostles and leaders quit in the Bible? Needless to say, ask any man or woman of God that has gone on for over 20 or 30 years in the ministry if they have not suffered worse. They kept on keeping on, focusing on Jesus rather than their peer groups. Read the message online entitled “Pure Anointing against the Perverted Anointing” in our “Home” page. This message will bring lots of clarity and will give you a new perspective toward God’s work. Remember it is our purpose to be just and unbiased to our fellow men and women and never a place to condemn and judge.

(3) New Christian’s Fear Because Trials Are More Severe Now

The fact that you came into Christianity was for a specific reason of conflict and insecurity I am sure. The best choice you ever made in your life is to accept Christ as your personal savior. Every born again person has gone through the similar situations with families, friends etc. Be of good cheer, every enemy that troubles us now, Christ already conquered. For every opponent that manipulates its way against you, Jesus experienced the same and overcame. One thing God loves to do is to reveal His kindness, mercy and justice toward His children. You must show up at all services that your church holds. During these trying times you will grow and be strengthened as you read the Word of God and be in prayer. Hold on, be steadfast and committed to Christ He will never let you down and we will be praying for you.

(4) Why Is God Referred To “Man Of War” And Not “God Of War” In (Ex.15:3)

Really, we want to say “we don’t know” but let’s try. You can verify this with many other eligible ministers in our communities. Majority of the translations say “man of war” except for the NASB quotes it as “The Lord is a warrior; The Lord is His name.”

It ascribes more to a person’s character or individuality to God. It can also mean a derivative that it is an offshoot of the original who is God. There’s a word called “anthropomorphize” which is a verb used to describe an action that forms the logical part for something to happen or become. It’s to know something but have to describe it in human terms and understanding. The older patriarchs never had the written word in their hands but had definitely come to know some of the characteristics of God’s attributes day to day. The same with what Moses and the Hebrew nation would learn of God on the Exodus march which was extraordinary. To use the word “anthropomorphize” is not unusual because it exalts the force and splendour of the Lord. We can parallel this in the N.T. times and find it not out of the ordinary. We recognize the Humanity and the Deity (Son of God) in Jesus Christ. Therefore it is not surprising to find the red-thread (Jesus being deity and man) written in the early writings of the Hebrews. Gentle Jesus meek and mild also came with peace and a sword in Mathew 10:34. We can conveniently say that “Jehovah God is a Man of War” He is almighty God.

(5) Laziness And Its Consequences

Majority of us have been duped by this. We can be hoodwinked and blame everything on everybody else to combat this big thing called “laziness”. It would be so easy to put-off anything and find an excuse to do something else. If you read Proverbs 24:33 which quotes, “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest-and poverty will come on you like a thief.” After all God does answer these types of prayers as well. We can become a lazy person without much effort but, with much effort we can produce a lot.

Deliverance always turns things around. Before, it was too much of “doing nothing” and it became a norm but now you make time to have those “do nothing restful days”. Putting things off, relying on others, making excuses and sleeping extra hours a day, who doesn’t fall into that tendency zone? We cannot want the luxuries of life that only hard work can earn. Look at more scriptures that helps us never to put things off again. Proverbs 10:4, 12:24; 13:4; 15:19; 20:4; 21:25; 22:13; 26:13-16. A good start will be to look up these scriptures, write it out, meditate and apply. Remember, God wants a balanced life and not one functioning in extremes. Stay tuned.

(6) What Is Real Confession?

There is something called “before confession” that you have to be truthfully remorseful for your sins. The essential act of reparation or amends to damages on the part of the remorseful person is apology and regret. It must show a clear and decisive rejection of the sin committed. It should not stop there but continue with a motion of promise not to commit it again, out of the love for God which is reborn with atonement. The decision to avoid committing these sins in the future is a sure sign that your regret and unhappiness is genuine and dependable. This does not mean that a promise never to fall again into sin is necessary. A decision to try to avoid the near occasions of temptations be sufficient for true repentance. God's grace in collaboration with the intention to rectify your life will give you the strength to resist and overcome temptation in the future. Above all else be honest with yourself because Christ knows everything.
